🎼 Jazz, Blues + Whatever We Can Dance To

April Dawn is a Los Angeles–based vocalist, artist, and creative communicator. Her work lives at the intersection of soul, faith, and real life—where joy and heartbreak, doubt and desire, movement and stillness all belong.
Her sound blends jazz, blues, soul, Latin influences, and modern textures, shaped by her mixed Hispanic roots and the energy of the city she calls home. Whether in the studio or on stage, what draws people in isn’t just the music—it’s the feeling. The honesty. The sense that nothing is being filtered or performed for approval.
April’s artistry is grounded in faith, but not perfection. Her music reflects a lived relationship with God—one that exists in tension, growth, and return. It’s less about having it all figured out and more about staying open, staying honest, and continuing to come back to what’s true.
With a B.A. in Commercial Music from Biola University and over a decade of experience in performance and production, she brings both technical skill and emotional depth to her work. From vocal recording to live performance to multimedia storytelling, she creates with intention and connects with people where they are.
At the heart of it all is a simple desire: to create music that moves people—whether that’s in a quiet moment, or on a dance floor where, for a few hours, you get to feel fully alive.
